Presently a typical day of work as Assistant Director of Nursing includes:  Manage Wound Care Team, Monitor Incident Reports, Vital member of the Nursing Q&A process. Oversight staffing, and investigate any resident / family /staff concerns. Work with staff who are members of PNA, SEIU and Laborers Unions. Assist in interviewing potential new employees for the Health Care team. Work diligently as a member of the Health Care team to facilitate education and promote quality care throughout the facility. Assist with clinical readiness for the annual Department of Health Surveys. In her previous position as Director of Care Delivery she was responsible for: Managed the day to day operations of a 58 bed Skilled Nursing unit comprising Pulmonary, Behavioral Dementia and Skilled Rehab needs of a resident population aged between 50 and 102 years old. Integral member of the Psychotropic Reduction Team, Managed Care Team, Care Plan conference, Team and leadership team. Mentored new Charge Nurses and interviewed nurses to be a member of the Nursing team.
